Boulder County will operate the site in partnership with Larimer County, and there will be no charge for residents to use the site.  The site is scheduled to stay open through August 15th.
The Meeker Park site will accept any size trees with no diameter limit, although the county prefers logs that are cut in 8, 10 or 12 foot lengths with branches cut flush with the trunk because these can be used for posts and poles. Trees will be processed based on their condition or value for other applications.
The site will be closed for the July 4, 2009, holiday and will not accept mountain pine beetle-infested after July 18. For further information, please read the announcement.
